Alister Browne - ETHICS for BREAKFAST

Alister Browne
PhD, Philosophy

How
Philosophers
See Ethics

Date:   Tuesday | February 14 2006  | 7:15- 8:30am
Location:   BC Hydro 2nd floor Auditorium
333 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver BC

Philosophical questions, by definition, are those to which there is no general agreement as to what the right answers are.  Thus ethics, which falls to the domain of philosophy, is filled with unanswered questions; indeed, the answer to the main questions of ethics are "Nobody knows."

But what do philosophers see as the main questions of ethics, and why must we give this dismal response to them? Using some everyday moral problems, Alister Browne will address these matters.

Please RSVP by Monday February 13 so that we can
make accurate catering arrangements.  Thank you.

Members $7.00      Non-Members $10.00
