Alternative Medicine is a broad term covering a wide range of therapies and modalities. Some have been used for centuries and their traditions, benefits and uses are well known. Others are less well known, even somewhat dubious.
— How do practitioners address the ethical issues they are being faced with in alternative healthcare? — What are the issues you face as a potential client? — How will you know what therapy is right for you? — What do you need to know to make informed choices about practitioners?
These issues can present a potential mine field for those who seek help from Alternative Healthcare Providers.
Please join us for breakfast as Elaine talks about how to navigate these issues in today's alternative healthcare marketplace.

About Elaine Stevens
Elaine Stevens began her career as a research biochemist before spending ten years as a medical journalist, both in the UK and Canada. In the 80's she retrained as a clinical herbalist, studying at the Wild Rose College in Vancouver and the SouthWest School of Herbal Medicine in New Mexico, USA.
She then became an instructor for Wild Rose College and Dominion Herbal College, and subsequently for the Douglas College Natural Health Program. She ran a busy clinical practice and was a member of the Practitioners Advisory Committee for the Tsu Chi Institute during its development and first two years.
She has become increasingly involved in the energetics of herbs and of body/mind work, continues to teach some herbal medicine courses and runs a part-time herbal consulting practice. She co-authored The Twelve Month Gardener and authored The Creative Container Gardener (both Whitecap Books).
