Victor Chan will be discussing how the world's first Dalai Lama Center came into being and the process of establishing the Center in Vancouver.
The 2006 Vancouver Dialogues, organized by the Center, brought His Holiness to Vancouver to participate in a series of conversations with educators, students, psychologists, business executives and social entrepreneurs.
Victor will also focus on how the Dalai Lama's message of universal ethics shapes the vision and mandate of the Center, and how it informs his own way of life.

About Victor Chan
Victor Chan first met the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India in 1972. The two co-authored the Wisdom of Forgiveness: Intimate Conversations and Journeys, which was shortlisted for the Best Spiritual Book of 2005 (Nautilus Prize) and has been translated into eleven languages.
Mr. Chan is presently working with the Dalai Lama to establish the world’s first Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education. To be built in the heart of Vancouver, the Center’s mission is to explore and bring to fruition the ideals of the Dalai Lama. By promoting education of the heart, and cultivating a universal ethics, the Center will help bring peace into our lives and into the world.
