Dr. Mark Wexler
Understanding Corporate Scandals:
Who are Those Monsters?

Tuesday   March 13 2007  7:15-8:30am
click here to RSVP   or phone: 604.685-6560

Corporate scandals are far more than a passing fad.
They are a collective emotional display (in network terms a macro-emotional phenomena)
that increases with the use of technology, investigative journalism, and higher public expectations for socially responsible business.

Mark will break corporate scandals into their components:
(I) information surfaces
(A) amplification of this information into a viable scandal story
(O) growing public outrage
(C) cooling off rage and bagging and tagging the monsters
(C2) the scandal consequences.

A 15 minute question and answer period will follow.

Those working in public relations, community affairs, journalism, crisis management, corporate firefighting and non-routine decision making will
find this breakfast event particularly useful.
