Daniel is well suited to speak about the ethical issues concerning the use (or misuse) of polling information.  He will explore important issues in the responsible use of polling data -- in such areas as government, education, environment, aboriginal affairs, health care and corporate social responsibility. This will also be a chance for you to raise any concerns you have about polling techniques and their applications.

ABOUT DANIEL SAVAS

Daniel Savas is a Senior Vice President in Ipsos Reid’s Vancouver office. He has been with the firm for more than 15 years, working as a public affairs and market research specialist, doing work for both private and public sector clients, as well as non-profit organizations. He has conducted studies on a diverse variety of topics such as the role of government, corporate community involvement, corporate social responsibility, aboriginal affairs, post-secondary education, employment equity, youth and government, health care, environmental and land use issues and resource development.  He currently is focused on doing research in the higher education and non-profit sectors.

Daniel holds a Ph.D. degree in Political Science from UBC, an M.A. from Université Laval in Quebec City, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto. Daniel has also studied at the Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris, where he received a D.E.A., and Essex University in England, where he studied data analysis.
