How Do We Define "Ethics"?

It's a lot more than just compliance… Is it socially responsible business? Right action? Sustainability?
Dr. Rush Kidder, Founder and President of the Institute for Global Ethics, defines ethics as “obedience to the unenforceable.”
The word itself is a challenge in that people have differing views on its meaning, and relevance, to themselves. Can it be interchanged with words like ‘morals,’ ‘integrity’ or ‘values’? What has ethics to do with Corporate Social Responsibility, if anything? And to what extent, if any, has ‘going green’ co-opted the CSR and ethical agenda and landscape?
Karen will give a brief overview of the concepts covered in IGE (Canada’s) Ethical Fitness® Seminar, and then facilitate a discussion wrestling with the questions posed above.
